Activities at the campsite: relax and be entertained
▪ Swimming pool
A large swimming pool, of 300 m3, is accessible from 9:30am to 7pm, all year long. It is covered and heated, both in summer and winter. With deckchairs around it, it welcomes young and old to swim, have fun or sunbathe.
▪ Hot tub
Next to the pool, the heated Jacuzzi allows you to relax in a bubble bath. Guaranteed relaxation !
▪ Solarium
A real place to meet and enjoy your holidays, the solarium has several facilities at your disposal: sunbeds and umbrellas for lounging or a ping-pong table and a “boulodrome” to play the new generation of boules.
▪ Relaxation Room
A relaxation room is at your disposal with tables, chairs and cushions for lounging around with your family or for more chilled moments: board games, reading, watching television…
▪ Playground
We have an area with an adapted floor for children to play in. Featuring games and a slide to keep them entertained !
▪ Games, tournaments and themed evenings
During the summer season, the team creates a programme of great activities to keep you entertained: boules tournament, bingo with prizes to be won, cinema, pancake tasting, cocktails… Great moments to meet other campers and travelers from all over the world !
▪ Summer Olympics
In the summer, your children will be able to challenge themselves during an afternoon of games and friendly competition at the pool and at the campsite.
▪ Group exercise classes
Aquagym, yoga, cross-training, boxing… In summer, we host group exercise classes, hosted by certified coaches. Train and sculpt your “summer body” and let off steam in a friendly atmosphere.

▪ The Villeneuve-Loubet beach
At the Hippodrome Campsite, you are lucky to be only 200m from the sea and therefore from the Villeneuve-Loubet beach. Warm sand, salty water and the sound of the waves… what more could you ask for?
▪ Shopping
What if you took advantage of your vacation to do a little shopping ? The shopping area of Villeneuve-Loubet is just a few steps from the campsite. Fashion, accessories, decorations… After all, you’ve earned it, haven’t you ?
▪ Le Parc de Vaugrenier
About 10 minutes from the campsite, the 102-hectare Parc de Vaugrenier is famous in Villeneuve-Loubet For a picnic, a refreshing walk, a nap in the middle of nature, a bike ride or a walk with your dog… Take in the beautiful nature and relax !

In the heart of the French Riviera, between Cagnes-sur-mer and Antibes, the Hippodrome campsite is ideally located to discover the Riviera and its glorious events. With all amenities nearby (motorway, SNCF train station, self-service bicycles…), access is convenient and quick to get you where the Mediterranean wind takes you… Here are some ideas for visits and activities for your down time…
▪ Nice Côte d’Azur airport
Is the French Riviera a stopover on your trip ? Are you making a stopover in Nice ? Are you expecting family to arrive by plane ? No problem ! Nice airport is only 10 minutes drive from the campsite. Ideal !
▪ The ports of the French Riviera
Where there’s the sea there are beautiful ports… Near the campsite, you can wander around our local marinas and wander through the masts with your family, or rent a boat for a trip out on the water !
▪ Antibes Land
Only 9 minutes from the campsite, Antibes Land, the largest amusement park on the French Riviera, welcomes young and old for thrilling rides ! Why not test your limits !
▪ Aquasplash
Just next door, head to Aquasplash, a water park, for dizzying slides. Refreshing on a hot summer’s day !
▪ Nice Carnival
During the winter season, the major event in the city of Nice is the Carnival ! 30 minutes from the campsite, by car, or via buses specially set up for the occasion, go to the famous Place Masséna to attend the biggest show in Nice, the carnival parade! Discover the illuminations as well as the big heads and celebrate the King and Queen of the year !
▪ Battle of the Flowers
At the same time, the Battle of Flowers is in full swing… Its hostesses, perched on their flowery float, will throw you a few sprigs of mimosa, flowers local to our region.
Note that the entry for the Nice Carnival and the Battle of Flowers is free, for both children and adults, if you dress up. Mind you, it doesn’t count if you only wear a wig… 😉
▪ Fête du Citron
Alongside these festivities, a little further away, in Menton (45 minutes from the campsite), the Lemon Festival will allow you to discover the local heritage in an artistic and creative way, with a theme that changes every year. Visit the sculpture park or attend the parade of floats built with local oranges and lemons !
▪ The Monaco Monte Carlo Formula 1 Grand Prix
Another major event of the French Riviera, the Monaco Monte-Carlo Formula 1 Grand Prix takes place, every year, in May. Speed lovers, live a unique experience by attending one of the most famous car races in the world. Located 35 minutes from the campsite, don’t miss a day of this frantic race !

Whether you love jazz, pop or electro, there’ll be something for you. Throughout the summer, there are numerous festivals held across the French Riviera where artists from all over the world perform: Nice Jazz Festival, Jazz à Juan, Crossover, La Crème Festival, Plages Électroniques, Nuits du Sud à Vence, Nuits Carrées… Enjoy the music and share these experiences with your family and locals, in these exceptional settings !
▪ Allianz Riviera Stadium
Attend a league 1 tournament, a rugby match with the RCT or a concert by one of the biggest international stars. The Allianz Riviera stadium in Nice is only 15 minutes away from the campsite !

Heading to a concert at the Palais Nikaïa ? Then stay at the Camping de l’Hippodrome… The Palais Nikaïa, the largest concert hall in the region, is 10 minutes away, by car !

If you like to spend your down time soaking up culture and the arts of the world, you can take your pick of a great range of museums across the French Riviera ! We recommend a visit to the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art (MAMAC) in Nice or the Museum of Asian Arts, which are located near the Phoenix Park in Nice.

Want to head further afield ? The Hippodrome campsite is located only 50 minutes from the Italian border ! By car or train, stroll through the alleys of the most famous market of the French Riviera or relax on the sandy beaches of Italy…
▪ Ski resorts
Prefer snow and mountains to the sea and beaches ? You’ve come to the right place… We are lucky here on the French Riviera to be close to the sea but also only 1h30 away from the mountains of the Alps, with great ski resorts. Just an hour and a half away, find yourself at the top of the slopes of Isola 2000, Auron, Valberg… to ski or snowboard !
▪ The Gorges du Verdon
Why not head west to the Gorges du Verdon to swim and refresh yourself in the river waters, with breathtaking landscapes… Viewpoints, hiking trails, rafting, canoeing, canyoning… great adventures only 2 hours drive from the campsite !
